My philosophy

My teaching philosophy is the same as my everyday philosophy. You cannot demand respect from those around you if you do not show them the same respect. Especially in high school, most of my teachers did so, they would treat us with respect and then we the students would do the same, treat them with the same respect. I truly believe that if we as teachers respect students, they will be more likely to succeed and want to be in your class. Same goes for the teachers, the teachers will more likely enjoy the class and want to do fun activities such as Kahoot. My other philosophy that is connected to my other philosophy is we as a society need to help each other so that we all may succeed.

The way my second philosophy relates to instruction, is in instruction, if we as teachers fail to teach our students the material or the hidden curriculum, I believe we have failed. The reason I believe this is that since we are those who are teacher the next generation, we must teach students more than just the material. It is also upon us to bring the students up, what I mean by that is that if we cannot help those students who are in a place of vulnerability, part of the blame if they fail is on us, in my opinion. Therefore, we as teachers need to make sure that we do our best that our students succeed.
